Cody Martin is a musician, classical guitarist, and music educator rooted in the heart of Sonoma County. He began his musical journey at age twelve where he ventured into playing rock n’ roll/blues guitar for various original and cover bands. His desire to continue growing musically led him to pursue studying classical guitar performance at Sonoma State University, where he graduated with a Bachelors of Music Degree in May 2014. Graduating with distinction, he was the recipient of the Lalmani Misra Endowment Scholarship, the Evert B. Person Endowment Scholarship, and the Stephen Sorenson Memorial Scholarship.
After graduation, Cody spent a year performing as a freelance musician for weddings and wineries in Sonoma County. He later returned to education to earn his single subject teaching credential. He has since taught orchestra, concert band, choir, and general music at various schools in a number of districts.
Cody has extensive experience playing guitar for weddings, private events, and wineries. He has professionally performed at venues such as Weill Hall, Castello di Amorosa, Alpha Omega, Jacuzzi, Cline, Chateau St. Jean, Sterling, Etude, Provenance, Mayacama, Auberge De Soleil, and more.
